My Newest Series from Shanghai
I had two artist in residencies in Shanghai in November and February and I did a lot of research looking for stories beforehand. I made contacts at the acrobatic circus schools and with noodle and dumpling master chefs thinking these might become stories. Once I started walking and exploring the city I was drawn to these kinetic sculptures of clothes and bedsheets which appeared on every street. Here is one of the world’s most modern and contemporary cities, just filled with underwear, socks and sheets all on public display- and no one took note- Except me- This became my Story-
